Nikki is a single mom to a beautiful daughter as well as the hu-mom to a sassy Siberian Husky. She is a veteran of the United States Army. She has earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a Creative Writing emphasis from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and her MFA in Creative Writing from Full Sail University.
Her outlook on life? Life is too darn short to hold anything in anger, a lesson learned in the desert of Iraq.
Nikki has one piece, "Blackhawk Falling from the Sky", published in the book The Longest War edited by John F. Holmes. This book is available in e-Book format for the Nook at Barnes and Noble.com. You can also find it for the Kindle at Amazon .com. The stories are from service members and families affected by the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. (If it has the boots on the cover and doesn't say 2nd or 3rd edition, it's a good chance Nikki's story is in there.) She has published four shorts "The Brigid Chronicles: Collected Part One" and "The Brigid Chronicles: Collected Part Two." Both are available at Amazon by clicking their respective links.
In 2015 Nikki had the opportunity to pitch for A&E Network through the CINE/A&E Network Pitch Fest in NYC. There she pitched her masters thesis "Tales from the Sandbox." She had a great time and learned from the experience so, when the opportunity came up again in 2016, she took her one-hour TV pilot "The Brigid Chronicles" which was adapted from "The Brigid Chronicles: Collected Part One."
Nikki also works on occasion with Roadmap Writers. Great continuing education with opportunities to pitch executives from studios as well as agency reps.
She loves film so much, when she had the opportunity to invest in a company with like-minded individuals, she did! Nikki is a founding investor in Legion M, the world's first fan-owned entertainment company.
